Student Volunteers
Program Overview:
The PRSA Philly Student Volunteer role is a hands-on opportunity designed for college students interested in gaining real-world experience in public relations and communications. Working closely with the Executive Committee and various chapter leaders, the Student Volunteer plays an active role in supporting chapter operations, events and programming throughout the semester.
Through a mix of administrative support, event involvement and collaborative projects, this role offers a behind-the-scenes look at how a professional PR organization operates, while providing valuable opportunities to build skills, confidence and industry connections.

- Junior & Senior Undergraduate Students: Gain practical, real-world experience in public relations, communications and marketing while building your resume and expanding your professional network.
- Students Seeking Industry Exposure: Connect with PR professionals across the Philadelphia region and gain insight into career paths, industry trends and professional expectations.

How it works:
- Hybrid role based in Philadelphia (virtual and in-person involvement required)
- Approximately 5–8 hours per week, depending on events and deadline
- Participation in monthly board meetings and ongoing committee work
- Support for PRSA Philly programming, including the PR Institute and Pepperpot Awards
- Collaboration across committees such as Programming, Membership and Communications
