LOVE Award

The PRSA Code of Ethics is widely regarded as the cornerstone of the ethical practice of public relations. First developed in 1950, the Code is designed to be a useful guide for practitioners as they carry out their ethical responsibilities, setting out principles that uphold core values, including advocacy, honesty, expertise, independence, loyalty and fairness. PRSA Philly leadership selects an individual or team from our community whose efforts represent integrity to these core values.

2025 Honoree: Jenn Frederick

Jenn Frederick has been getting up early with the "Good Day Philadelphia" morning team since 2003. She covers breaking news, sports and feature stories around the area each weekday morning. In August of 2025 she launched FOX29 LIVE AT NOON. The dual daily assignment allows her to physically present for the local news that is the heart of community as well as deliver the serious content that matters mid day.

Jenn has earned an Emmy for investigative reporting. She takes pride in having worked as a bilingual anchor and investigative reporter for KGNS-TV in Laredo, Texas, an NBC affiliate and Spanish bilingual station where she got her start.

Pepperpot Awards Celebration

The Pepperpot Awards have become a long-standing tradition for Philadelphia-area PR professionals to join in recognizing the top PR campaigns, tactics, and professionals. Each year, proud projects are submitted to be judged by a sister chapter within the Public Relations Society of America. Together we celebrate the winners representing excellence in our communications and public relations community.

We will celebrate on THURSDAY, December 4, 2025 at The Down Town Club by Cescaphe. The 2025 event promises to exceed expectations. Whether you submit a project or not, you won't want to miss the event!

What is a Pepperpot?

Are you wondering.... "what IS a Pepperpot.?" Not only is it an award to honor achievements in public relations, but it is a long-standing Philadelphia tradition. In 1968, Bill Parker, APR, who was then our chapter president and head of Campbell's soup communications, named the Pepperpot awards in honor of Philadelphia's famous Pepperpot soup, which has roots in the Revolutionary War. Parker suggested the name to conjure up excitement and good-humored intrigue, saying, "Like Philly's famous soup, we put everything we have into all of our public relations campaigns." The Pepperpot is now a coveted award, unique to the Philadelphia market!
