About this event

PRSA Philly's virtual Lunch & Learn series is designed to be group conversations exploring topics relevant to communications professionals working in corporate, agency, and consulting environments.

The series features industry-leading experts from across the country delving deeper into topics we should all be well versed in as communicators. Each Lunch & Learn series is followed by a Q&A session, and we encourage attendees to continue the conversation by exploring the topic and its implications within your team and organization.

This webinar, featuring Jeffrey Kolakowski, Director of Communications for the Philadelphia Office of Emergency Management, Andrew Busch, Director of Media Relations for SEPTA, and Ben Armstrong, Vice President of Communications and Marketing for PECO, will provide an inside look at the strategies these organizations use to share essential information with the public during both routine operations and high-stakes crises.
  1. Tactics for building trust and keeping the public informed during day-to-day communications.
  2. Real-world examples of rapid-response strategies in moments of crisis.
  3. Best practices for coordinating messages across multiple channels and audiences.
  4. Lessons learned from managing crises and how to improve future response plans.

This session offers invaluable insights for communications professionals seeking to enhance their public affairs skills and crisis preparedness. Whether you manage communications for a small organization or a large company, you’ll walk away with actionable strategies to improve clarity, consistency, and public trust in your messaging.
