Why did you become a member of PRSA?
I became a member of PRSA to connect with other communications professionals in Philadelphia. It’s valuable to build relationships with peers and learn from one another. The city is smaller than you think!

What PRSA Philly Mentor-Mentee initiatives are you planning? What are the types of initiatives you most want to provide to our members?
PRSA Philly offers a semester-based Mentor–Mentee Program that brings together professionals and students at different stages of their careers. Our Fall 2026 program is launching this month, and we’re already recruiting for Spring 2027. If you’re reading this and interested in participating, feel free to reach out!

What are your hobbies?
Reading (hi, book club!), trying new restaurants, and perfecting my rollneck sweater collection.

What first drew you to a career in communications or PR?
I think it all started when I was sent home from first grade for talking too much. ;) Turns out, I just needed to find a career where communicating was part of the job.

What skill has become most critical to your work right now?
Prioritization. We live in a world where everything is ASAP, and we only have so many hours in a day. Being able to step back, determine what actually needs your attention and organize your time is critical.

What advice would you give to someone early in their PR or communications career?
Don’t be afraid to ask questions. Be curious and understand the “why” behind the work.

One word that describes your job:
Dynamic.

A communications myth you’d like to bust:
“Anyone can do social media.” That is simply not true.

A tool or habit you can’t work without:
Time blocking. My Google calendar is a sacred space.
