Philly Loves a Parade: How Communications Brought the Super Bowl Win to Life

When: April 24, 8:30-10 a.m.
Where: Hard Rock Cafe Philadelphia, Market Street

Capturing the Lombardi Trophy was only the beginning of city-wide parties for the Eagles and their fans. Next came the official city celebration, which attracted huge crowds and capitalized on fans' euphoria.

The event, which seemed to come together in a matter of days, was actually weeks in the making. Ike Richman, working closely with the event planner and PR team at the Eagles, developed a strategy to create a positive experience for attendees and the media. Join our April breakfast program to enjoy a hot breakfast while Ike explores:

  • How to communicate the details of the celebration to media and attendees
  • Coordination of media
  • What they did to make it work?

And -- enter a free drawing for an Eagles football, signed by Jalen Mills!

Ike Richman spent nearly 29 years with Comcast-Spectator, specializing in public relations, media relations and crisis communications. During his nearly three-decade career, he managed all external communications for the company's three businesses: the Philadelphia Flyers, the Wells Fargo Center and Spectra. He is well-established in creating and delivering important and impactful business messages locally, regionally, nationally, and throughout the sports and entertainment industry. Richman recently established his own public relations firm after leaving Comcast.

Richman has supported public relations and media relations efforts for numerous prestigious events, including: 1996 World Cup of Hockey; 1997 Stanley Cup Finals; 1998 U.S. Figure Skating Championships; 1999 American Hockey League All-Star Game; 2000 NCAA Women's Final Four; 2000 Republican National Convention; 2001 NCAA Men's East Regionals; 2001 NBA Finals; 2001 and 2002 X Games; 2002 NBA All-Star Weekend; 2006 and 2009 NCAA Men's First and Second Round Basketball Games; 2008 U.S. Gymnastics Olympic Trials; 2010 Winter Classic (Fenway Park); 2011 NCAA Wrestling Championships, 2012 Winter Classic (Citizens Bank Park); 2013 NCAA Men's Second and Third Round Games; 2014 NCAA Frozen Four; 2014 NHL Entry Draft and 2016 NCAA Men's East Regionals.
