Redefining Corporate Social Responsibility

March 27 @ 7:30 am - 9:30 am

$20 – $50

Redefining Corporate
Social Responsibility

Mission-centric Service

Stakeholders expect companies to take an active role in improving the communities they do business, work, live and play. The function of corporate social responsibility has become interwoven into many communication operations. However, there are still numerous companies that still operate without a clear strategic plan, don’t understand best practices or deliver CSR programs with authenticity.

With the guidance of Temple University CSR graduate professor, Gregg Feistman and other experts, you’ll learn about compelling global, regional and local programs and case studies from well-established companies and start-ups that are making a difference. You’ll get to actively network among others trying to (re)define their own CSR programs and/or discover potential collaboration with groups who offer dynamic solutions for community engagement.

About Gregg Feistman

As an award-winning professional, Gregg Feistman has more than 35 years of business and public relations experience. As assistant chair for public relations at Temple University, Feistman is responsible for directing the public relations major and specializes in public relations, reputation management, strategic communications planning, corporate sponsorship, crisis communications, media relations, and organizational communication.  On the graduate level, he teaches courses in corporate social responsibility, contemporary issues in communications and reputation/image/identity. He received Temple’s Outstanding Faculty Service Award in 2014 and the Klein College of Media and Communications’ Faculty Award for Service in 2012.

As an active member of PRSA Philadelphia chapter, serving in multiple leadership capacities, he’s a recipient of multiple Pepperpot and Drumbeater awards. In 2010, he received PRSA’s prestigious Anthony J. Fulginiti Award for Commitment to PR Education. He is also this year’s inductee into the Philadelphia Public Relations Association’s Hall of Fame.
