Bring Your ‘A’ Game: PR and Marketing in Professional Sports

August 10 @ 8:00 am - 9:00 am

Join PRSA Philadelphia and PRSA Delaware virtually on Tuesday, August 10 from 8 – 9 a.m. for an in-depth look at the role of PR and marketing in professional sports. Our panel includes communication pros from the Philadelphia Union, Delaware Blue Coats, and the Philadelphia Phillies.

Professional sports is a big business. Last year, the pro sports industry in North America generated around $75 billion. Teams and players are regularly in the spotlight. However, sports franchises are much larger than just the players on the field. Behind the scenes of each team is a much larger operation. And like most large organizations, PR and marketing pros perform essential roles in publicity, media relations, crisis management, and much more.

Hear directly from the ultimate sports insiders with our panel of communication pros from teams in our region:

Amanda Young Curtis

Philadelphia Union,
VP, Marketing & Communications

Alex Yoh

Delaware Blue Coats, Sr. Director of Marketing & Communications

Lauren Testa

Philadelphia Phillies,
Communications Representative

This VIRTUAL event is hosted by the Philadelphia and Delaware chapters of PRSA.
