John J. Moscatelli, APR, Fellow PRSA
Public Relations Consultant, JJM Communications, LLC

Moscatelli offers a unique mix of communications experience as a senior counselor with 20 years as a U.S. Air Force public affairs officer, 25 years playing leading roles in two of the Philadelphia region’s most prestigious communications firms and more than 20 years as an adjunct professor of public relations at Rowan University’s College of Communication and Creative Arts.

Prior to establishing his own consultancy in 2011, he joined Anne Klein Communication Group as senior vice president and COO in 2001 after having spent 15 years with Earle Palmer Brown where he rose to senior vice president and associate general manager of EPB’s public relations division in Philadelphia.

An accredited member of the Public Relations Society of America and PRSA’s Counselors Academy, Moscatelli is a member of PRSA’s College of Fellows and past president of PRSA’s Philadelphia chapter. As an adjunct faculty member with the Rowan University, Moscatelli teaches advanced public relations writing, advanced communication techniques and introduction to public relations courses.

Among his pro bono activities, Moscatelli served on the Board of Managers of Families Forward Philadelphia and the Utility Emergency Services Fund. His most recent published article is “The Four Rs of Crisis Communication,” which ran in the August 2015 issue of PRSA’s Tactics.

Dr. Jacob C. Farbman, M.A., APR
Director of Communications, New Jersey Council of County Colleges

In his role, Farbman where he oversees New Jersey Council of County Colleges’ statewide internal and external communication programs for New Jersey’s 19 community colleges.

In addition to his duties with the Council, Farbman has taught as an adjunct professor of communication studies at The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) in Ewing since January 2001, teaching Introduction to Communication Theory and Strategies of Public Relations. In 2005, TCNJ’s chapter of the Sigma Pi fraternity honored him with one of five Outstanding Faculty Awards. In December 2007, the Philadelphia Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America named him the region’s Outstanding Public Relations Educator.

Farbman is one of a few public relations practitioners in the country who represents community colleges to hold an Accredited in Public Relations (APR) distinction awarded by the Universal Accreditation Board of the Public Relations Society of America. The APR recognizes exemplary standards of character and competence in the practice of public relations.

Farbman graduated from Rowan University’s nationally-recognized graduate public relations program in August 1999. In addition to his master’s degree, He earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from Rowan University in 1998 and an associate’s degree in communications/journalism from Salem Community College in 1996. He is also a graduate of the Chair Academy’s 2006-2007 NJ Community College Leadership Program.
