How to Create Effective, Thoughtful Storytelling in Healthcare

Healthcare providers, medical schools, technology and pharmaceuticals all face a common challenge: How to tell a story that weighs human impact with brand messaging? While innovative and patient stories resonate with media, PR professionals have to navigate privacy issues and sensitivity to create a meaningful message. PRSA Philadelphia's breakfast healthcare panel event will explore these topics and offer best practice insights on:

  • Developing a story that resonates with media and customer

  • Managing feelings of possibly "exploiting" a patient and his or her personal story

  • Balancing organizational goals with emotional toll

  • Navigating HIPAA and other laws governing patient information
